Kilmarnock Station Community Village
KSRHT’s mission:
“To promote recovery from adversity and strengthen our community”
Our vision:
A community where recovery is both supported and achievable
The charitable purpose of the organisation is to promote cross community group partnership working in the local and outlying areas with the ultimate aim of making the Railway Station the centre of the community once again by providing a hub of inspiration for Arts, Culture and Heritage.
What we do:
We are a social prescribing project aimed at supporting people with mental health issues, offering an alternative to a medical model of support. Through a variety of different methods, which include, volunteering opportunities, participation in structured programmes, support from counselling and increasing confidence, social skills and self esteem.
Counselling
We are pleased to offer person-centred counselling at Kilmarnock Station Community Village. Person-centred counselling is an effective and popular treatment for a variety of issues. We have qualified & student therapists offering sessions at various times, to meet the needs of the people in the local community. Appointments can be either face to face or online and are available during the day and some evenings.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

The training bakery/kitchen provides a home for our new Baking Bread project. The therapeutic benefits of bread making have long been associated with increased confidence, sense of well-being and lowered anxiety & depression and this new initiative fits well within our existing services provided at the Station. You can self-refer or be referred by an organisation/service by contacting Andrea McNair.
