Corra Foundation

Working to strengthen and amplify people’s voices and their power to make change

Since 1985 Corra Foundation has distributed almost £193 million and made nearly 16,000 grants to help improve the lives of individuals and communities experiencing disadvantage all across Scotland and in countries around the world.

What’s been happening?

We’ve been in Cumnock since June 2015. Since we started working in the area lots has been happening. There has been a high level of community engagement; several community litter picks organised by local people; the launch of Cumnock’s Community Action Plan, the creation of a SCIO dedicated to Cumnock Action Plan and much more

How can you get involved?

Please get in touch, as we’re keen to get to know the wider community. You might like to tell us about changes you’d like to bring about, or if you represent a group or organisation, how we could work together. You could also check out the Cumnock Action Plan website, and speak to the group behind so much of the activity.

My role is to support the community of Cumnock in East Ayrshire. Through this work I help facilitate positive change by supporting community-led ideas. I will work alongside the community, encouraging and building upon their strengths and aspirations.

I have a background as a musician and educator and currently lecture at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Previously a project manager, I have worked with organisations, developing and delivering creative programmes to improve outcomes for groups experiencing disadvantage.
